Access National Archives

The National Archives holds a wide variety of records, many of which are relevant to Irish genealogy and local history.

The National Archives has a selection of searchable resources to help you find references to the records you require. The records themselves cannot be viewed online but members of the public are welcome to consult them in the Reading Room. The online search facility allows you the option to run simple or advanced searches across nineteen finding aid databases, to narrow your scope by searching a specific database(s) or simply to browse the contents of individual databases.
