Use the National Consumer Agency “Economiser”.
The Economiser will identify how your spending compares with the most relevant average for you. It then gives tips on how you can cut your spending and become a smarter consumer.
To use the Economiser, you need to complete the profiling questions and input your spending under five category headings.
These categories have been chosen because they account for just over a third of a typical household’s spending and also because changes in your spending in these categories can result in immediate savings. The categories are:
- TV and telecoms (other than mobile)
- Mobile phones
- Motoring costs (petrol and diesel)
