Dara Calleary TD is the Minister for Agriculture. He was appointed to this role in July 2020.
A native of Ballina, Dara Calleary has been serving the people of Mayo in Leinster House as TD since first being elected at the 2007 General Election.
In April 2009 Dara was appointed Minister of State at the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment with responsibility for Labour Affairs.
In March 2010 Dara was appointed Minister of State at the Department of the Taoiseach and the Department of Finance with responsibility for Public Service Transformation.
Dara was re-elected to Dáil Éireann in February 2011 and 2016 serving as Fianna Fáil Spokesperson on Justice, Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation and most recently Public Expenditure and Reform.
In March 2018, Dara was appointed Deputy Leader of Fianna Fáil and Director of Policy Development.
