Latest updates on the COVID-19 vaccine in Ireland

Vaccinations against COVID-19 in Ireland began on 29 December 2020. We are in the first phases of the vaccination programme, the largest ever conducted by the State. As vaccine supplies become available, vaccinations will be offered free to all residents of Ireland who wish to receive them.

The COVID-19 vaccine is an important supplement to other measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

Our immediate priority is to look after the most vulnerable – that is older people and our frontline healthcare workers. They are being vaccinated as quickly and safely as possible. Find out more below.
