Vaccinations against COVID-19 in Ireland began on 29 December 2020. Our Vaccination Programme is well underway, with many of our most vulnerable protected from COVID-19. As vaccine supplies become available, vaccinations will be offered free to all residents of Ireland who wish to receive them.
The COVID-19 vaccine is an important supplement to other measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19.
By protecting the most vulnerable to severe disease, hospitalisation and death, all of society benefits most. They are being vaccinated as quickly and safely as possible. Find out more below.
