The Minister has set up the Moore Street Advisory Group, chaired by Dr Tom Collins, as recommended by the report of the Moore Consultative Group, Moore Street Report – Securing History, which was presented to the Minister in March 2017. The Advisory Group has been tasked with finding a way forward for the regeneration of the Moore Street area in a way that reflects its historical associations with the 1916 Rising and that recognises its street trading culture and traditions.
Membership of the Advisory Group is made up of local and Oireachtas representatives, 1916 relatives, street traders and other stakeholders in order to brings together the full range of views on how best to secure a viable future for Moore Street. The Advisory Group will report to the Minister on its deliberations in due course.
