“Ní neart go cur le chéile” (Strength with Unity) is the official slogan of the Irish Presidency of the Council of the European Union. As part of the Presidency programme, the Department of Children, Disability and Equality will host the 26th Meeting of the Child Guarantee Coordinators in Dublin on 24 and 25 September 2026.
The meeting will bring together Child Guarantee Coordinators from across EU Member States, representatives of the European Commission and invited experts to discuss implementation of the European Child Guarantee and the recently published Communication on Strengthening the European Child Guarantee.
Over the two days, participants will examine prevention and early intervention, parenting and family supports, inclusion in early years services, child benefits and governance arrangements that help reduce child poverty and improve outcomes for children and young people across Europe.
The programme will include presentations from Ireland, the European Commission and Member States, interactive workshops, peer learning sessions and a visit to The Ark, Europe’s first purpose-built children’s arts centre, where delegates will attend the unveiling of an artwork co-created with children and young people reflecting the principles of the European Child Guarantee.
