Shared Vision Next Steps 2019- 2024 Consultation Final Report

Report on Forum of CYPSC Coordinators

Children and Young People’s Services Committees (CYPSC) bring together a diverse group of agencies across the statutory, community and voluntary sectors in local county areas to engage in joint planning of services for children and young people.

As local multi-agency, interagency structures with a remit to improve outcomes for children and young people, CYPSC develop a profile of children and young people their county/area to support a shared understanding across multiple organisations and agencies regarding the support services currently available, including service gaps.

This report presents the outcomes of the CYPSC coordinators Forum held in Dublin on 16th October 2025. The day was made up of two parts: the morning session was devoted to a presentation and discussion on fundings of an external review of CYPSC undertaken by the Centre for Effective Services (CES). The afternoon session was externally facilitated and consisted of a participatory workshop on reflecting on the learnings from Shared Vision Next Steps 2019–2024 and exploration of some of the priorities for the next phase.

The report is an independent review of the consultation that does not necessarily reflect the Department’s positions.
