Golf Legacy Infrastructure Investment Programme 2026 – 2030

The Golf Legacy Infrastructure Investment programme is a dedicated capital funding programme for the installation of a number of golf infrastructure projects to amplify the participation legacy arising from the State investment in a series of major international golf events. €6 million in funding has been committed by the Government of Ireland across the period 2026-2030 for Golf Legacy Infrastructure Investment (GLII). It aims to build on the very encouraging initial success of the Sport Ireland-funded, and Golf Ireland-operated, participation programmes by developing a number of low-cost, publicly accessible golf facilities.

Applications for funding under the programme will be invited annually, with the first round opening on 17th August 2026. The closing date for applications is Friday 25th September 2026. It is anticipated that the funding awarded to individual projects will range from €100,000 to €300,000.

Applications seeking further information can email golflegacy@ccs.gov.ie for more information on the application process or contact golf Ireland at GLII@golfireland.ie for guidance on project suitability.
