The purpose of the legislation is to give effect to the Government Decision of April, 2012 to reform the system for delivery of State supports to micro and small enterprises by dissolving the County and City Enterprise Boards’ structure and create an enhanced national enterprise support model to be delivered by Local Authorities on behalf of Enterprise Ireland through Local Enterprise Offices (LEOs).
