SI No 368 of 2015 European Union (Alternative Dispute Resolution for Consumer Disputes) (No. 2) Regulations 2015

The Regulations give further effect to Directive 2013/11/EU on alternative dispute resolution for consumer disputes and amending Regulation (EC) No. 2006/2004 and Directive 2009/22/EC by amending S.I. No. 343 of 2015 to include provisions for co-operation between ADR entities and national authorities.

The provisions include:

• Mutual exchange of information on practices in specific business sectors about which consumers have repeatedly lodged complaints; and

• Provision by public authorities to ADR entities of any technical assessment and information that is necessary for the handling of individual disputes and which is already available
