Acknowledgements
The Evaluation team would like to express sincere thanks to the Global Ireland and Economic Division (GLOBEC) in the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) for its support with this evaluation. We would like to express our appreciation to the Expo Team in Osaka, Embassy Tokyo, DFAT Headquarters staff, other Government Departments and State Agencies, National Cultural Institutions, and to all other stakeholders who so willingly participated in interviews or surveys. Finally, thanks to the members of the Reference Group who contributed their time and expertise to the process.
Evaluation Team
Trade Advisers were contracted by DFAT’s Evaluation and Audit Unit (EAU) to implement this evaluation, which was carried out by a mixed team of EAU officers, Siobhán McGee, Evaluation Manager, Niall Walsh and Joseph Murray, Analysts, and external consultants: Macarena Davies as Team Leader, Emma Godfrey as Evaluation Expert and Bianca Baumler as Public Diplomacy and Communications Expert. A Reference Group was formed to support the exercise, comprised of officers from across the Department, members of Government Departments and State Agencies, and an external evaluation and quality assurance expert.
The EAU is a constituent part of the Irish Government Economic Evaluation Service (IGEES).
