Appointments to the Social Workers Registration Board:

The Minister for Health Jennifer Carroll MacNeill TD has appointed the following persons as members to the Social Workers Registration Board.

Darren Broomfield

Darren Broomfield is Principal Social Worker with the Adoption Authority of Ireland, where he leads the Authority’s social work service. He has almost 20 years’ experience in social work across paediatric disability and palliative care, probation, youth justice, restorative justice and victim services. Darren has held a range of senior roles and has particular interest in service development, professional practice, working with marginalised and underserved groups, and supporting high-quality social work. He holds a Master of Social Work from University College Dublin and is a CORU-registered social worker.
