Case Reports - Circuit Court

The Circuit Court has jurisdiction to hear a wide range of family law cases, including divorces, judicial separations, judicial dissolutions of civil partnerships, annulments, and applications relating to children, maintenance, property, pensions, domestic violence and cohabitants. The Circuit Court also hears appeals from decisions of the District Court.

Case reports are grouped by case type to help readers navigate the family law system. Select a case type below to view individual reports.

Please note: Due to the nature of family law proceedings, some reports may cover more than one case. Case reports are categorised according to the principal application or issue before the court; however, other applications or legal issues may also arise in the same proceedings.
