Expressions of interest are invited from across the Irish Public Service for seconded assignments to the Public Service Transformation Division in the Department of Public Expenditure, Infrastructure, Public Service Reform and Digitalisation (DPER). Opportunities exist at:
- Higher Executive Officer (HEO) and Administrative Officer (AO) or equivalent grades
- Communications Specialist (HEO) or equivalent grades
This secondment programme offers a unique opportunity to contribute to transformative approaches in public service delivery. Successful secondees will be supporting a dynamic, interdisciplinary team that is supporting and driving transformative approaches to the delivery of public services in order to make the lives of our public better.
Participants will collaborate with colleagues from across sectors, gaining valuable experience, expanding professional networks, and developing new skills in a supportive and future-focused environment. The programme is designed to harness the diverse expertise of public servants and apply it to national reform priorities under the Better Public Services strategy.
The secondment will be for a period of two years during which participants will actively contribute to the delivery of Ireland’s vision for inclusive, high-quality, and integrated public services
In order to effectively support and drive the implementation of public service transformation initiatives, and to ensure sufficient public service representation, secondees will be drawn from across all of the main areas of the Irish public service.
Applicants are being invited from all areas of the Public Service, including:
- Health sector
- Education sector
- Defence sector
- Justice and Policing sector
- Local Government sector, and
- Civil Service and Non-Commercial State Agencies sector
This spread will ensure sectoral perspectives, insights and experience are provided to assist in the co-ordination and implementation of initiatives under the Government’s Public Service Transformation framework, Better Public Services.
The secondment will be for a period of two years during which participants will actively contribute to the delivery of Ireland’s vision for inclusive, high-quality and integrated public services.
