From 30 November to 1 December 2023, the Office of Emergency Planning, in partnership with the Shared Island unit of the Department of the Taoiseach, will host the 2nd All Island Disaster Risk Reduction Conference, in Ballymascanlon House Hotel, Dundalk, Co. Louth.
The theme for this year’s conference will be a focus on emergency communications, including early warning systems.
The growing complexity of identified risks which could impact the entire island of Ireland, highlights the value in increasing cross-sectoral and cross-border cooperation for emergency preparedness, management, recovery, and resilience. The conference will be held annually, with each annual conference focusing on a different theme that is of relevance, and interest, on an all-island basis.
The attendees of the conference are drawn from across the island, with a particular focus on those working at strategic level in public administration, semi-state, academic, voluntary, and private sectors.
