GPO Complex Today
Known for its public Post Office and the GPO Museum, the GPO Complex is one of Ireland’s most recognisable buildings.
Beyond those public-facing spaces lies a vast multi-functional building, extending to approximately 25,000 square metres. It covers a surface area that is equal to two GAA pitches.
The GPO Complex forms a multi-storey city block, with frontage to O’Connell Street, Prince’s St North and Henry Street. For over a century it has been home to offices for the Government. At street-level, there are shops along Henry Street and on either side of the GPO Arcade, a public thoroughfare connecting Henry Street to Prince’s Street North.
