An Bord Pleanála (the Board) is the national independent statutory body with responsibility for the determination of planning appeals and direct applications for strategic infrastructure and other developments under the Planning and Development Act 2000, as amended, and certain other Acts.
An Fóram Uisce (The Water Forum) is a national statutory body representative of stakeholders with an interest in the quality of Ireland’s water bodies. An Fóram Uisce’s members include representatives from a wide range of organisations with direct connections to issues relating to water quality and public water consumers.
AHBRA is tasked with providing the regulation of Approved Housing Bodies (AHBs) for the purpose of supporting stronger governance and the financial viability of the AHB sector, with a particular focus on safeguarding the significant public investment being made in the delivery of social housing by AHBs. AHBRA aims to provide assurances to investors, tenants, the government and to the AHB sector itself that social housing providers operate in a well-regulated and stable environment.
The Forum considers and advises the Dublin City Council and the strategic policy committees of the Council in relation to the formulation, development, monitoring and review of the Council’s policy relating to the performance of the functions of the Council insofar as they relate to the Dublin Docklands Area.

The National Traveller Accommodation Consultative Committee advises the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage in relation to any general matters concerning accommodation for Travellers and implementation and co-operation of Traveller accommodation programmes.
The Pyrite Resolution Board was established to procure the remediation of dwellings with damage caused by pyritic heave of hardcore under floor slabs. The Pyrite Resolution Board is an independent Board, established under the Pyrite Resolution Act 2013.
The Residential Tenancies Board (RTB) was established as a quasi-judicial independent statutory body under the Residential Tenancies Acts 2004 as amended (RTA) to regulate the rental sector; provide information to tenants and landlords; maintain a national register of tenancies; resolve disputes between tenants and landlords; and conduct research and provide information to inform policy). The remit of the RTB covers the private rental sector, the not-for-profit housing providers commonly known as Approved Housing Bodies (AHBs), Student-specific Accommodation providers (SSA) and Cost Rental.
Tailte Éireann is an independent Government agency under the aegis of the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage. Tailte Éireann provide a property registration system, property valuation service, and national mapping and surveying infrastructure for the State.
Uisce Éireann is the national authority for water services with responsibility for the functions assigned to it by or under the Water Services Acts 2007 to 2022. It provides public water and waste water services throughout Ireland.
