Under the National Disability Inclusion Strategy (2017-2022) each government department is required to have a consultative committee to oversee and monitor the National Disability Inclusion Strategy.
The Department of Transport's consultative committee was called the Accessibility Consultative Committee.
Membership of the Accessibility Consultative Committee was drawn from organisations representing people with disabilities, members of the Disability Stakeholders Group, key agencies under the aegis of the Department, as well as other relevant State agencies.
The Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth (DCEDIY) has begun work on designing the successor strategy to the NDIS.
