Civil Service Mobility

The Civil Service Renewal Plan commits to expanding career and mobility opportunities for staff across geographic, organisational and sectoral boundaries. In line with this commitment, a new Civil Service Mobility Scheme launched on Monday 13th November 2017, enabling all permanent staff in the general Civil Service grades of Clerical Officer and Executive Officer to apply for mobility.

This phase of mobility includes moves between and within 46 zones. However, it excludes moves between organisations within Dublin, which will be introduced in 2018.

Information on the Civil Service Mobility Scheme can be found here which includes the terms and conditions, an interactive map, a list of organisations per zone and a user guidance manual.
