Expression of Interest for the appointment of a Panel of International Advisors to the Ireland for Finance Industry Advisory Committee (IAC)

The Minister of State for Financial Services, Credit Unions and Insurance, Sean Fleming TD, has today Thursday 08/07/2021 announced the commencement of a selection process to identify a panel of international advisors to the Ireland for Finance Industry Advisory Committee. Ireland for Finance is the Government strategy for the development of the international financial services sector in Ireland to 2025. These are voluntary positions and applications should be made as per the Expression of Interest below.
Speaking on the launch of the process, Minister of State Fleming said:
‘The role of the international member of the Industry Advisory Committee has been vital in providing us with an outside perspective on the international financial services sector in Ireland. It helps us keep abreast of global developments and ensure that our offering for the sector remains competitive and responsive to these changes.
As we enter a new era of digital transformation and sustainability being embedded in everything we do, we have decided to expand this role and establish a panel of international advisors whose knowledge in different areas can be drawn upon as necessary.
We are looking for people with significant experience in the various sub-sectors of international financial services such as fintech, asset management, banking, insurance, and sustainable finance amongst others to apply. We intend that this panel will have a sufficient geographical spread, be diverse in nature and thought, and bring a wealth of expertise to the committee.’
The closing date for expressions of interest is 6pm on Tuesday, 3rd August 2021 (Irish Standard Time – UTC+1) and applicants are invited to submit an Expression of Interest and CV to iff@finance.gov.ie with the subject ‘International Advisors – Industry Advisory Committee’.
Applicants should demonstrate their suitability for the post in terms of the skills and experience necessary to effectively undertake the role of being an International Advisor to the Industry Advisory Committee.
