Minister O'Donovan announces €52,558 in funding approvals under the Minor Flood Mitigation Works and Coastal Protection Scheme

Minister of State with responsibility for the Office of Public Works, Mr. Patrick O’Donovan, T.D., has announced the approval of applications under the Office of Public Works’ Minor Flood Mitigation Works and Coastal Protection Scheme to the following County Councils:
• Clare County Council - €22,000 – to carry out a hydrological study at Victoria Court and Gordon Drive, Ennis, Co. Clare
• Galway County Council - €12,600 – installation of a drain to divert existing drains to the river at Clonkeenkerill, Colmanstown, Ballinasloe, Co. Galway
• Leitrim County Council - €12,122 – additional funding to carry out a feasibility study on the Bonet River, Dromahair, Co Leitrim.
• Sligo County Council - €5,836 – additional funding to carry out a Coastal Erosion and Flood Risk Management Study at Strandhill and Easkey Coast Road, (Sligo Bay), Sligo.
