Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly has welcomed the launch of new and upgraded facilities at Cork University Maternity Hospital (CUMH), including its Ambulatory Gynaecology Suite, the Gynaecology Day Ward, and the Induction Room Delivery Suite.
In addition to the significant improvements at Cork University Maternity Hospital (CUMH) referenced above, there is also a major development in the Lee Road Clinic which will be the central location for regional fertility and uro-gynaecological services.
Minister Donnelly said:
"Women’s healthcare is a top health priority for this government. Through the continued implementation of the National Maternity Strategy, the Ambulatory Gynaecology Model of Care, and the establishment of specialist clinics in women’s health we are seeing significant and tangible improvements that enhance the safety and experience of our services for women, babies and families."

“These service developments are a further reflection of this government’s commitment to promoting Women’s Health. The significant additional investment announced in Budget 2022 will facilitate the expansion and improvement of existing services as well as the development of new services in support of Women’s Health. This will help to improve patient and user experience and achieve better outcomes, in line with the principles of Sláintecare."
