The Probation Service welcomes the 2021 Dormant Account Funding

The Probation Service welcomes today’s announcement by the Department of Rural and Community Development, of more than €51 million in funding from the Dormant Accounts Fund to address disadvantage across the country.

€1,380,000 has been allocated as part of the Dormant Accounts Fund for the continuation of supports to Social Enterprises for employment options for people with past convictions.

Funding has also been allocated to two Young Persons Probation (YPP) projects based in Cherry Orchard in Dublin, and the North East Inner City of Dublin.
