From 31 January 2024, consignments of meat & meat products exported to Great Britain (GB) must be pre-notified to GB authorities by using IPAFFs. This pre-notification must be made by the GB based importer.
From 31 January 2024, consignments of meat, meat products and animal by-products exported to Great Britain (GB) may require an Export Health Certificate (EHC) depending on its risk categorisation. The goods will be subject to identity and physical checks at Border Control Posts (BCPs). For goods from Ireland this will not commence before 31 October 2024.

Chilled minced meat and meat preparations can continue to be exported to Great Britain from 31 January 2024 provided that they are accompanied by an EHC as they are now classed as medium risk.
• chilled minced meat (beef, pork, lamb, mutton and goat)
• chilled and frozen minced poultry meat
• mechanical separated meat from porcine, poultry and ratite or game birds
• chilled meat preparations
