Social Welfare Payments will change to a single payment for two weeks

This is to encourage social distancing.

Some customers will receive a single payment for two weeks from 23 March. Some customers will receive a single payment for two weeks from 30 March.

This will reduce the amount of time people attend post offices and banks.

All payments will be paid in a single payment every two weeks: payments into bank accounts, post offices and by cheque.

This is not a bonus payment.

People receiving the following payments will be paid for 2 weeks during the week beginning 23 March 2020:

    Carers Allowance Incapacity Supplement Wage Subsidy Scheme
    Carer's Benefit Increase for Living on an Island Widow(er)s Pension Contributory
    Death Benefit Invalidity Pension Widowed Parent Grant
    Deserted Wife's Allowance Magdalen Commission Scheme Widowed Parent Grant Con
    Deserted Wife's Benefit Maternity Benefit Widow's, Widower's or Surviving Civil Partner's Pension (Non Contributory)

Some people on a Back to Education Allowance payments will receive 2 weeks payment this week (23 March)
