The Public Service or ' Croke Park Agreement ' 2010-2014 was reached with ICTU as well as Gardaí and Defence Force Associations.
The Croke Park Agreement was a commitment to change the way in which the Public Service conducted its business, so that both costs and the number of people working in the Public Service could be reduced, while allowing the Public Service to continue to meet the need for services.
Contingent on delivery of the savings and compliance with the Agreement, the government gave certain commitments to serving public servants:
