Even with a clear roadmap in place it must be stressed that the plan will be subject to constant review.
Return to Work Safely Protocol
The reopening of the economy can only take place safely with strict adherence to workplace and occupational health and safety measures, alongside more general public health measures aimed at reducing the spread of COVID-19.
The Protocol is designed to help employers and workers to put measures in place that will prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the workplace, as the economy reopens. The Protocol sets out specific guidance for all places of work which must be adhered to when they are allowed to reopen.
The emphasis will be on the considerable menu of supports available from across the government enterprise agencies, with specific tailored supports for individual sectors to help businesses review and amend their business model as appropriate.
There will be a specific focus on micro and small business sectors, with in particular the non-financial supports that are available from the Agencies and Local Enterprise Offices.
