Your safety and welfare, as well as that of our colleagues, is our priority at this time. In line with Government guidelines, we had to reduce the number of staff on site. Our headquarters at D’Olier House, D’Olier Street, Dublin 2 is closed to members of the public until further notice.
However, we are continuing to register appeals, process appeals and issue decisions. There may be delays in issuing correspondence related to these functions.
Every effort is being made to progress appeals on hand. However, for the duration of the current restrictions, a decision has been taken to cancel all face to face meetings, including oral hearing of appeals. We sincerely regret any inconvenience caused by these essential measures.
Appeals are currently being determined on a summary basis. It may be possible for Appeals Officers to gather additional information or seek clarifications on any matter relating to an appeal (e.g. by telephone or email) which might otherwise have been ascertained in the course of an oral hearing.
Our phone lines are also very busy right now and you may experience a delay getting to speak to one of our team. We are doing everything possible to answer your call as quickly as we can and apologise for any delays you experience.
