During July 2020, the Department of Employment Affairs and Social Protection asked everyone receiving the Pandemic Unemployment Payment to confirm their continued eligibility for this important income support.
If you are one of the 270,000 people who got in touch to confirm your eligibility, thank you. You do not need to do anything further, and your payment will continue as usual.
If you did not confirm your eligibility, you will already have received communications from the department earlier this week.
You now have a further opportunity to ensure your payment continues by submitting a new application before 12 noon on Friday 14 August at www.mywelfare.ie.
If you re-apply and are eligible, your payment will continue as usual.
If you do not re-apply your payment will be stopped, and no payment will issue next week. Your payment can be restored after this date by making a new application.
