This area has responsibility for developing and promoting policy on migrant integration and anti-racism. It coordinates a series of whole-of-Government strategies in these areas – the Migrant Integration Strategy. It also manages a series of EU funding programmes under the European Social Fund and the Asylum Migration Integration Fund.
The Division is responsible for providing accommodation to international protection applicants who require it through the International Protection Accommodation Service and for developing the policy and process for reforming this system. It also operates a programme of resettlement of refugees across Ireland.
