The Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth held a consultation from 23 July 2020 to 11 September 2020. The consultation invited comments on a number of initial proposals to amend the legislation. The consultation paper advised that responses received might be published on the Department’s website.
The Department is grateful for the many responses that it has received from representative bodies, membership and non-governmental organisations, universities, the Office of the Ombudsman for Children, as well as legal practitioners, social workers and other interested parties.
