The purpose of this Appropriate Assessment (AA) Determination Statement is to provide a statement for the public and relevant bodies to ascertain that an AA has been conducted in accordance with relevant regulations. The purpose is to allow interested parties to assess the competent authority determination.

MKO has been appointed to prepare a Natura Impact Statement to allow the competent authority to conduct an Appropriate Assessment of remediation and bank enhancement works at Ballymakeogh, Newport Co. Tipperary.
Appendix 1- Work Method Statement
This method statement should be read in parallel with the completed Project Risk Assessment Form and all relevant project drawings and specifications. All potential hazards should be identified and where possible removed or appropriate mitigation measures put in place. All work to be carried out in accordance with safe working practices. If any issue needs clarification contact your immediate supervisor.
Appendix 3 - Invasive Management Plan
The purpose of this Alien Invasives Species (AIS) Management Plan is to describe the invasive species related mitigation required to facilitate embankment maintenance works (embankment: E10) of Channel C1/1 on River Newport Arterial Drainage Scheme as shown in Fig. 1a proposed works location and Fig. 1b management plan location. The Newport River is an Arterially Drainaged Catchment, under the 1945 Arterial Drainage Act, the OPW is statutorially obliged to maintain the scheme in effective repair and condition.
