The Healthy Ireland Network

The first phase of the Healthy Ireland Network was established by the Healthy Ireland Council to get all types of organisations across the country to sign-up to combine efforts to improve health and wellbeing.

The vision of the Healthy Ireland Network is a healthy Ireland, where everyone can enjoy physical and mental health and wellbeing to their full potential; where wellbeing is valued and supported at every level of society and is everyone’s responsibility.

The purpose of the Healthy Ireland Network is:

  • to establish and grow an empowering national movement that treats health and wellbeing as an individual and collective responsibility
  • to support and advocate for the goals and vision of Healthy Ireland
  • to ensure the Healthy Ireland message is spread, understood, and acted on throughout Ireland

  • contribute to achieving the goals of the Health Ireland Framework 2013–2025 which, in turn, means you contribute to the common good of Ireland
  • be a part of a new and growing national movement
  • raise the national and local profile of the Network
