The Government Publications Office provides a sales outlet to the public for all government publications. Orders are accepted by telephone, email and post. The Office also publishes Iris Oifigiúil, the State's official gazette, which is published twice weekly on Tuesday and Friday in hard copy and online.

Our Sales Office (Bookshop) in Molesworth Street closed on Friday, 23 November 2012. However, the OPW continues to provide a Mail Order Service for all customers, including those who used the Publications shop.

The Call Centre is open Monday to Friday 10.00am to 12.30pm and 2.30pm to 4.00pm to assist callers.

It accepts order payments by card, cheque or postal order.

Government publications does not supply:

  • government publications that are free
  • government publications only available as Internet downloads
  • the hard copy primary school curriculum (English language set) - now only available on CD or on www.ncca.ie

Most Law pre-dating the Foundation of the State – www.tso.co.uk. The electronic Irish Statute Book provides access to the searchable text of most of the pre 1922 public and general statutes still in force in the State following the enactment of the Statute Law Revision Act 2007 and is available at www.irishstatutebook.ie/pre-acts.
