‘Life in Still Life’ exhibition comes to the Phoenix Park Visitor Centre as part of the annual cross border partnership between the Office of Public Works (OPW) in the Republic of Ireland and the Department of Finance of Northern Ireland (DoF). The exhibition showcases 54 artworks from these public collections on the theme of still life selected by the members of The Association of Art and Design Education in Northern Ireland (AADE).

Kevin ‘Boxer’ Moran TD, Minister of State for the Office of Public Works and Flood Relief, said:

"This cross-border partnership between the OPW and the Northern Ireland Department of Finance has been hugely successful in bringing these fantastic collections to the general public at diverse venues such as colleges, libraries, arts centres and heritage properties located in their own communities throughout the island of Ireland."

Opening the ‘Life in Still Life’ exhibition, Maurice Buckley, Chairman of the OPW, said:

"This is the twenty third exhibition between the two organisations and since its informal exhibition back in 1996, when 6 artworks from the Northern Ireland Civil Service Collection were loaned to the OPW, it has gone from strength to strength. I am delighted to see that over this timeframe these exhibitions have selected different themes, artworks and locations, to showcase the diverse collections from both organisations while bringing them to the heart of local communities."
