In the fourth quarter of 2018, the level of GDP rose by 0.1 per cent relative to the previous quarter (on a seasonally adjusted basis). As a result, the level of GDP was 3.0 per cent higher year-on-year. Overall GDP was up 6.7 per cent in 2018.


Government nominates Gabriel Makhlouf for appointment as new Governor of the Central Bank of Ireland

The Minister for Finance and Public Expenditure and Reform, Paschal Donohoe TD, is pleased to announce that today (Wednesday) the Government agreed to nominate Mr. Gabriel Makhlouf for appointment by the President as the new Governor of the Central Bank of Ireland.
