Government nominates President of the Circuit Court

At its meeting today, 30 June 2026, the Government agreed to nominate His Hon. Judge Keenan Johnson, Judge of the Circuit Court, as President of the Circuit Court.

The vacancy as President of the Circuit Court will arise due to the term of the current President, the Hon. Ms. Justice Patricia Ryan ending on 12 July 2026.

The Government has taken the necessary steps to formally advise President Connolly of the nomination in accordance with constitutional practice.
