The Chief State Solicitor's Office employs over 350 people in legal and administrative roles.
To join the CSSO as a solicitor you must be enrolled as a solicitor in the State.
To join the CSSO as a legal executive you must have at least two years' experience in legal duties in a solicitor's office and hold an approved diploma in legal studies.
We also recruit administrative staff at all civil service grades.
Our recruitment competitions are run by our recruitment and selection team or by the Public Appointments Service on our behalf.
The code of practice for appointment to positions in the civil service is available on the website of the Commission for Public Service Appointments.
