As the department's Head of Communications, Sorcha Loughnane leads the Communications and Media Relations Division (CMRD) which supports and promotes the work of the Minister and this department by creating meaningful engagement with internal and external audiences, such as:

• campaign development
• insight generation
• stakeholder management
• digital and social media content generation
• media relations
• marketing
• branding
• public relations, and
• internal communications
