Global Bioeconomy Summit 2026
The Global Bioeconomy Summit 2026 (GBS 2026) will take place in Dublin, Ireland on 20-21 October 2026 at the Convention Centre Dublin.
The Departments of Climate, Energy, and the Environment (DCEE) and Agriculture, Food, and the Marine (DAFM), and the International Advisory Council of the Global Bioeconomy (IACGB) will jointly organise the summit.
Ireland was selected as the host nation for 2026 following the conclusion of GBS 2024 in Nairobi, Kenya, reflecting the country’s growing leadership across policy, research and knowledge, bio-based innovation, bioeconomy related climate and industrial solutions, and circular bioeconomy demonstration initiatives for place based transformation.
The Global Bioeconomy Summit (GBS) is a high-level, international gathering of leaders of bioeconomy from all hemispheres and from diverse backgrounds that represent the interdisciplinary and diverse features of the bioeconomy. It has been held previously in 2015, 2018, 2020 and 2024.
