Principal Officer, Adaptation Policy, Planning and Implementation

The Adaptation Policy, Planning and Implementation Section supports the work of the Minister and government in overarching national adaptation policy and governance. The Section leads the coordination of Sectoral Adaptation Plans (SAPs) under the Climate Act and has responsibility for the National Adaptation Framework (NAF). The Principal Officer chairs the National Adaptation Steering Committee (NASC) and the section encompasses the Project Management Office for the Adaptation Taskforce, chaired by DCEE. The Taskforce provides for more regular and formalised senior-level consideration in addressing cross-cutting issues and transboundary risks and efforts to address them in a more holistic way.
