The Minister for Finance, Paschal Donohoe T.D., has today (Monday) announced the nomination of a new member to the Board of Home Building Finance Ireland (HBFI).

The Minister has appointed Ronan O’ Neill as the new non-executive director to the Board.

The selection process for the appointments was undertaken in accordance with the “Guidelines for appointments to State Boards” published by the Government in November 2014. It was managed by the Public Appointments Service and there was a significant level of interest in the posts advertised.

Commenting on the appointments, Minister Donohoe said:

"I am pleased to announce the appointment of Ronan O’ Neill to the Board of HBFI. Ronan is well placed to serve in the role, given his extensive experience in financial services. Ronan will bring a wealth of both professional and governance experience to the membership of the HBFI Board, and I wish him well on his appointment."
