Minister Donohoe notes appointment to Board of PTSB

The Minster for Finance, Paschal Donohoe TD, notes the appointment of Mr Paul Doddrell to the Board of Permanent TSB (PTSB). This completes the process whereby the Minister has exercised his rights to nominate directors to the Boards of each of the banks in which the State has a shareholding. Accordingly, the Minister’s two nominees to the Boards of both AIB and PTSB and one nominee to the Board of BOI have now taken up their roles.

The process to identify appropriately skilled candidates for nomination by the Minister was overseen by the Department of Finance and the Public Appointments Service. After the Minister’s nomination, and before their positions could be ratified, the candidates had to successfully pass the Regulatory Fitness and Probity regime.
