Tánaiste Simon Harris to travel to Zagreb on bilateral visit to Croatia

Tánaiste and Minister for Finance Simon Harris will travel to Zagreb on Friday, 30 January, to undertake a bilateral visit aimed at strengthening economic ties with Croatia.

During his two days in Zagreb, the Tánaiste will meet with both the Croatian Prime Minister and Finance Minister to discuss the bilateral relationship between our two countries and to discuss key EU financial initiatives.

The Tánaiste will also engage with the local Irish community in Zagreb before returning to Dublin.

Speaking ahead of the visit, the Tánaiste said:

“I look forward to my visit to Zagreb this weekend. Croatia is a valued European partner and I welcome this opportunity to meet with Prime Minister Plenkoviç and the Finance Minister to discuss our bilateral relationship and economic links.

Ireland and Croatia enjoy a strong partnership, both economically and culturally, and this visit highlights the Government’s desire to see this partnership continue to flourish long into the future.”
