OPW- Retrofit Kilcairn Government Offices, Co. Meath: A public sector building, retrofit pathfinder project.

This project entailed a significant retrofit to the building fabric and systems, to improve the building's energy use and energy efficiency performance, leading to a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions. The project was Funded by the NextGenerationEU and the works carried out by the Office of Public Works. The base electrical demand is now fully met by renewable photovoltaic panels, and heat pumps have been installed. The works had a clear focus on sustainable practices, including choices of building materials, waste management, and the recycling and reuse of waste materials.

This project contributes to meeting the OPW’s Climate Action targets.
