Government Submission to the Select Committee on Arrangements for Budgetary Scrutiny

The Government has committed in the Programme for a Partnership Government to work closely with the Oireachtas. Budgetary scrutiny is a key element in this cooperation.

The Ministers for Finance and Public Expenditure and Reform, Michael Noonan TD and Paschal Donohoe TD have written to the chair of the Committee on Arrangements for Budgetary Scrutiny Mr. John Paul Phelan TD outlining their proposed approach.

The Ministers have provided the committee with a submission which details proposed reforms to the Budgetary process that have been approved by the new Government.
