The Public Service Leadership Board (PSLB) was first established in 2018 to provide overall strategic leadership for public service development and innovation across the public service. The Board is chaired by Secretary General David Moloney, and the membership is Secretary General/CEO level (with representatives from Government Departments and a broad range of public service organisations, please see a list of current members below).
The PSLB plays a key role in achieving the ambition of the Better Public Services Transformation Strategy by working together on shared priorities at a strategic level. The PSLB leads the implementation of priority national level plans, and it meets quarterly to share updates on thematic priority areas, as well as to receive public sector transformation updates from sectoral leaders.
Better Public Service is a successor to the Our Public Service 2020 Programme and it is framed around three core themes: (1) Digital and Innovation at Scale, (2) Workforce and Organisation of the Future, and (3) Evidence-informed Policy and Services Designed for and with our Public.
