The Department of Employment Affairs and Social Protection is hosting a ‘Careers in Ireland’ Jobs Fair on Saturday, 14 September as part of its European Employment Services (EURES) programme. This event is aimed at people who are interested in living and working in Ireland.

The Careers in Ireland Jobs Fair will bring jobseekers and those looking to change their job, who want to come to work and live in Ireland, together to meet over 30 Irish-based employers who are recruiting to fill more than 500 vacancies. The employers attending the event are from sectors where there are a range of job opportunities in Ireland. This includes jobs in construction, hospitality, healthcare, retail, IT and engineering and financial services. Some of the employers attending include Apple Inc., MDE Installations, Paypal, Dublin Bus, Dalata Hotel Group, DPS Engineering and Construction Ltd., Pramerica Systems Ireland Ltd.

The event is planned as part of the EURES programme funded by the EU to facilitate the free movement of workers across Europe.

The Jobs Fair provides employers with the chance to meet with and discuss the opportunities available to potential new employees. Attendees should bring their CV or ensure they have a soft copy CV that they can send the employers on the day, as job applications will be accepted at the event.

A team of EURES Advisers, who are specialists in international recruitment, will also be on hand to provide advice and information. Presentations on Living and Working conditions in Ireland and the financial supports available to assist those making the move will run throughout the day. This event is similar to one held by EURES Ireland in Madrid, Spain in May which saw more than 1,500 people attending.

The event is free to employers and potential employees. Job Candidates are welcome to turn up for this great opportunity.
