Cross Border Partnership for Employment Services Launches Campaign to Support Jobseekers in Border Regions

  • New promotional campaign across key border locations to raise awareness of the supports and opportunities available to jobseekers and employers

The Department of Social Protection, together with the Department for Communities in Northern Ireland and the Cross Border Partnership for Employment Services, have today launched a new promotional campaign across the border region to raise awareness of the supports and opportunities available to jobseekers and employers.

The campaign aims to highlight the free employment services available through the Cross Border Partnership, including guidance for jobseekers, training and skills development opportunities, and support for employers seeking to recruit and retain staff.

Advertising will appear at a range of locations, ensuring the message reaches local communities where people live, travel, and work.

By promoting these services, the partnership aims to connect with individuals who may benefit from additional employment support and to strengthen links with businesses across the border region.

A spokesperson for the Cross Border Partnership for Employment Services said:

This campaign is about making sure people across our border communities know that support is available. Whether someone is looking for work, thinking about training, or an employer seeking new talent, our partnership is here to help.”

The promotional campaign will run over the coming weeks, with advertising displayed at high-visibility locations across the border region.

Notes:

The Cross‑Border Partnership for Employment Services (CBPES) is a collaboration between this Department of Social Protection and the Department for Communities in Northern Ireland.
The CBPES was established to facilitate the recruitment process for jobseekers by supporting information and delivering recruitment services.
The CBPES is led by a Steering Committee made up of representatives of its partners i.e., Public Employment Services (Department of Social Protection and Department for Communities), Trade Unions, Employer Bodies and Chambers of Commerce. A team of trained Cross Border Advisors are employed to support frontier workers, jobseekers, and employers in the North-South border region.
